The annual fundraising Pub Crawl will be this Friday 11th November.
Come along and help support the Surf Club by collecting money at a number of Wollongong's Pubs and Clubs. Meet at the Surf Club at 6pm sharp !

There will be a meeting next Tuesday 25th October at Surf house 7:00 pm for any members who are involved with or would like to be involved with the Illawarra Youth committee. We would like to see at least one representative from all clubs. We are looking for youth members aged 15 and over.

Proficiencies
Proficiencies this season will be split into 2 sections

  1. Section 1 will consist of the Bronze Cert II Upgrade, Bronze Medallion Resus, and ARC Proficiency
  2. Section 2 will be the Run/Swin/Run, Rescues, and scenario

Section 1 will be held upstairs at the Club with Nathan Mitchell and Stuart Massey available from 6:30pm till 8pm.
This section of the proficiency will take approx 30 mins, and will be held on the following dates

Section 2 will be held on Sundays at 10am on the following dates

NOTE: Members will NOT be permitted to do section 2 on a Sunday without proir completion of Section 1.

IRB proficiencies will be announced at a later date.

The Annual General Meeting was held today at 10.00am at the Surf Club.
Many questions were asked regarding the report, not all were able to be answered at the meeting. Once compiled, a Q&A factsheet will be posted to the website.

The Annual General Meeting has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. It will now be held on Sunday 28th August at 10.00am at the Surf Club.
For any nominations for committee positions, proposed changes to the Club's constitution, nominations for Active Reserve, Long Service, Life Membership, or any other propositions for discussion and voting at the AGM, be sure to lodge requests with the office ASAP.

Kel Giddey received Blue Scope Steel Patrol Person of the Year at the Award of Excellence Night at Woonona Bulli RSL.

North Wollongong SLSC has agreed with Wollongong City Council to provide services for Sunday patrols all year round. Throughout the off-season (Apr - Sep), North Wollongong SLSC will continue to patrol the beach every Sunday from 9am - 4pm.
At this stage, it will be for a trial period of 12 months, beginning Sunday 3rd July 2005, ending 25th June 2006.

More details will be available at the AGM

There will be an end of season BBQ and drinks at the surf club on Sunday 24th April, commencing at 12noon.

It will also be a fundraiser for Elyse Yardley who was selected to represent Australia in kayaking which will be held in Belguim in August.
